Uncontrollable recurrent thoughts/acts

Uncontrollable recurrent thoughts/acts – Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)

Spending a long time in washroom, washing hands again & again, seeking cleanliness/orderliness, checking and rechecking, indulgence in self talk are few symptoms of a personality trait that tests other’s patience and compassion. These embarrassing impulsive socially awkward behavior/actions of an individual develop an uneasy relationship between him and family, friends & colleagues. These acts cause the person significant stress and disruption in daily life. Individual suffers and struggles with the feeling of abandonment, loneliness, gap between ability & aspirations, stigma and apathy. It is the chemical imbalance in brain leads an individual experience recurring thoughts/repetitive actions, one has no control over. Generally we are ill-informed and ill-equipped to deal with these individuals in need of trust and support. Such individuals call for greater care and consideration.

Break the cycle of judging others

Break the cycle of judging others

Judging others is natural to a human being but judging them wrong generates guilt. There are situations, people, disappointments, highs & lows when things don’t go the way compatible with our belief patterns and plan. Irritated by the disruption of one’s peaceful & relaxed atmosphere caused by pre-judging a situation one thinks & acts with others guided by his/her belief patterns that one regrets later.

For example one realizes later that someone was actually a very kind & genuine person rather than rude as thought earlier but by this time relationship has already gone sour. The realization now hurts, thus affecting quality of life, well being and success. Evaluate, improve & change own perspective rather than judging others to lead a happy life.

Meditation paves the way for better understanding & compassion toward oneself & others. A few moments of meditation each day encourages one to “live in the moment” soothes the mind & boosts one’s self-esteem. It also replaces the worrying or critical thoughts by positive affirmations thus minimizing the chances of upsets & harm created by the negative emotions.

Meditation can help one to break the cycle of judging others because mind will become accustomed to positive thoughts & affirmations in the present moment. It helps one release negative perspective of others. The inner calm it provides also leads to enhanced creativity. One feels a surge of energizing love that positively affects every aspect of one’s life and those around.

Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve.

Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve.

Life is hectic & complicated. Everyone is fighting for time. Create a purpose to determine your existence. Uncertainties make one worry and unhappy.  Realize uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional. Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional. Experience makes life better not bitter. Experience is a hard teacher, it tests and provides lessons. Struggle and endurance to problems develop inner strength and enhances Mental Strength. Look inside, awaken and gain insight to count your blessings. Be grateful & satisfied with whatever you have achieved to remain motivated. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith & drop the fear. Don’t believe your doubts & doubt your beliefs. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve.

Key Lesson: Resistance always bites the hand that feeds it.

Stop Biting Yourself! by Guy Finley

Key Lesson: Resistance always bites the hand that feeds it.

The Power to Leave Painful Thoughts & Feelings Behind You

Just as a storm in the atmosphere of the earth is born of conflicting fronts of different temperatures colliding with one another, so too must there be conflicting forces within us in order to form a mental or emotional storm. Our task is to become conscious of these unseen forces that dwell in the unenlightened parts of us. As we grow to realize that no disturbance can remain within us without our granting it the force it needs to sustain its fury, we realize that we have at our disposal two great powers. We are empowered to dismiss storms when they appear in our psychic system &, with time & practice, we can learn to dismiss these disturbances before they begin!
The storms in our lives all share a common cause. Each storm, large or small, centers around something that happens to us that we don't want to be happening for whatever reasons...

Imagine a woman caught in an emotional firestorm of anger because she does not wanted to be treated like that. Or a man who feels trapped by a tormenting depression because he doesn't want what life continues to bring to him. Can we see that these two storms share a common root? Both rise as they do because of our unconscious resistance to something that has already happened.

Whenever we face an unwanted event & find ourselves feeling nothing but resistance, we can discover that this stress-mess is made from our insistence that this should not have happened. And how about when we recall past mistakes, painfully reliving how we fell down -- either a moment ago or 10 years back? Aren't we sure that whatever that error may have been -- it shouldn't have taken place?

The storms we suffer are not born simply from any particular event that takes place, but rather they rise from an unknown ground in us due to our undetected resistance to them. Further, these unwanted events that we so strongly resist are not the actual events themselves. What we secretly struggle against in these moments are unwanted images of that event fashioned by ourselves. This occurs, for example, when we imagine a fearful future, or see ourselves thrown for a social loss of some sort. In these moments we suffer, as we do, because we are looking at what we don't want to see. And then, because we don't know that we have been tricked into giving these negative fantasies our attention, we try to imagine ways to escape their punishing presence. The more we struggle to get away, the more attention we inadvertently lend to what we wish would disappear! It's a great paradox: not wanting to look upon what is bothering us keeps what is bothering us in plain view! But now we are beginning to see our way out of this trap.

From this moment forward, whenever some dark storm appears in us, we must neither run from it, nor stand there & hate what we think is happening. Instead we must awaken to ourselves, bring ourselves back into the Now & quietly, deliberately, drop any image that our thought-nature presents within us to justify the brewing conflict. Learning to dismiss the storms that sink our chances to be happy takes dedicated inner work, but you may be assured such powers are possible. Your True Nature already dwells beyond the reach of self-wrecking storms.

Instruction Manuals For Living
It can be overwhelming not knowing the way, but it is what you do along the way that matters.
Depending on what stage we are at in our lives, we can sometimes feel like we ought to know more about who we are or how to live. We may even berate ourselves for making the same mistakes, or for just not "getting it," whatever "it" may be. We wonder how our lives would be if only we had "known better." During moments like these, it is important to remember that none of us are born with instruction manuals and that learning lessons is a lifelong journey.

Inherent to our being born is that we are here to observe, learn, and grow. Accompanying this is a built-in guarantee that there will be mistakes and misadventures along the way. And while it is only natural that we may sometimes become overwhelmed, especially when the lessons keep coming, it is important to remember that learning to understand yourself and your world is an ongoing and active process where the journey is more important than the destination. Every lesson is intended so you can become more of who you are. As you grow through this self-discovery, you begin to create your own instruction manual. The "how" and "why" is yours to discover, and part of the beauty of being alive is that these rules are always changing.

If you feel that you would like to explore what your personal instruction manual may already say, then try writing down in order some of the significant events that have happened to you. It's also important to take note of what you learned from each one. When you are done, you may be surprised to discover how much you are always growing and that every lesson learned always informs the next. That being said, there is never a need to be hard on yourself or think that you should have it all figured out. We always know as much as we're meant to know at that moment, and growing into our fullness is a process that unfolds in divine timing. You and your life are beautiful works in progress. Discover yourself and embrace your life's lessons, and your instruction manual will create itself.

What is Reiki ?
How Reiki works ?
Use of Reiki

REIKI Defined...

Reiki is an energy healing. Not only on the physical level but also on the emotional and mental level before any illness has surfaced in the physical body.

Emotional upset and mental stress will with time surface and manifest itself as physical imbalances, attitudes and destructive habits.

REIKI:

Rei = Universal
Ki = Life Force Energy

How Reiki Works...

Inside every human being there is a subtle system of channels (nadis/meridians) and centres of energy (chakras) which look after our physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual being.

·        Reiki flows through this system
·        Ida/Pingla/Sushumna are main Nadis for flow of Reiki
·        All beings are given a spark of Ki at birth, which is stored in them for life
·        This Ki energy has its own force field, known as Aura, which has colors.

·        Along spine there are seven energy transformers in form of vortices known as Chakra
·        Flow of Reiki removes blocks and balances Chakras and increases Ki.

When the physical body is charged with Reiki, the aura from the ethereal body surrounds the physical body like a protective layer, about 5 cm (2 Inches) thick. This ethereal aura protects us from negative vibrations and it radiates vital energy to our surroundings. However, negative thoughts and emotions as well as an unhealthy lifestyle leads to a weakening of this health aura. This aura can be documented on photographic paper with Kirlian photography.

Use of Reiki

·                     Reiki your SELF daily and rid yourself of stress, anxiety and fear.
·                     Reiki your medicine whether allopathic or herbal.
·                     Reiki your family member.
·                     Send Reiki to your kith and kin living far away.
·                     Send Reiki to your future.
·                     Send Reiki to your past.
·                     Send Reiki to your Dream.

Consumerism and Peace of mind

Consumerism and Peace of mind

There is no end to materialistic desires/possessions. The self-centrist approach to life gives birth to a tendency to run after money, acquire & hoard worldly goods/objects beyond one’s need to the extent that it even pollutes one’s mind with inclination to grab what belongs to someone else thus generating unhealthy competition, tension, conflict & violence. The mind becomes restless & distracted resulting in loss of inner peace. Money cannot buy peace and happiness. Monitor, restrain and curb the urge to own more money, gems, gold, land or other valuables. Self-restraint, self-control & self-detachment imbibed in thoughts, the virtues and values acquired on judicious introspection, helps one find bliss and peace.

Quest to Overachieve & Overreach - A Sign of Imbalance

Quote
A person usually reaches home after work late, tired & irritated. One day he/she finds his/her 5 year old child waiting for him/her at the door. The little child asks his/her parent “how much money do you make an hour?". The parent is furious and angrily replies “I make Rs 100 an hour." I work long, hard hours every day t0 buy you food, dress, toys etc. The little child quietly, head bowed, went to his room.

The child saves his/her pocket money over a month. The person, a month later, again finds his/her little child waiting for him at the door. The moment person enters home the child says "Dear Parent, I have Rs 100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?"
Unquote

“Do you Think the person has been so selfish not to give time to his/her child."  If it is what you feel with respect to person’s choices & lifestyle, it is worth examining in order to balance our own lives also for a more rewarding experience.

Sometimes, unknowingly, we create imbalance while in our pursuit to overachieve or need to be the best at something. Overachievers are people who have achieved but still feel the need to do more, creating an imbalance in their lives. People who exhibit this behavior may be trying to compensate for feelings of insecurity & doubts about their worth. They may be chasing unresolved issues from their past into the present, or they might not be looking at their lives as a whole, but judging themselves based only on one aspect of their being.

If we do not permit ourselves to experience & enjoy the present moment, putting pleasure off for later in the future, we are being driven to achieve more than is truly essential. Pushing ourselves selfishly to the exclusion of important people in our lives, or beyond the point of exhaustion, robs us of true & meaningful joy. We need to look to those we love & admire and note what we like about them, divert those feelings towards ourselves in order to realize what we value about life & allow our priorities to shift from chasing after an elusive feeling to being fully present in the moment so that we can live our lives in the now.

When we put the energy that we have been devoting to a phantom sense of achievement into the truly satisfying aspects of our lives, we can restore the balance between our inner and outer worlds and experience true joyful peace.

Mental fatigue – empty your mind

Human mind, knowingly or unknowingly, is always pre-occupied with racing thoughts because of the societal pressures. These thoughts force us to continue to do things/activities, bound to stress us, in our endeavour to get maximum from our life in terms of success & happiness resulting in mental fatigue. We need to internalise the habit of giving a break to our busy schedule to spend time with families/loved ones, for freedom to pursue our hobbies/passion, to heal & revitalise ourselves in order to feel the bliss on our way to an intrinsic level of joy – the ultimate purpose of our existence.  Examine your thoughts, introspect, decipher weaknesses and strengths, prioritise & stop doing futile things/activities and enrich yourself with emotional freedom for self growth.

Happiness enhancing Hormones

Happiness enhancing Hormones

Child/self is not happy in life despite blessed with the best of everything in life. Do not understand the real cause of unhappiness. Just give this a try to make your child & yourself stay happy and well prepared to deal with challenges and problems better.

1. Start outdoor sports/exercise half an hour daily. Our body releases Endorphins (hormone) that helps the body cope with the pain of exercising. Soon we start enjoying exercise because Endorphins make us happy. Laughter is another way of generating Endorphins. Read or watch funny stuff to get our day's dose of Endorphins.

2. Acknowledge, appreciate & reward each and every small-big accomplishment/ achievement to facilitating release of Dopamine (another hormone) that makes feel good & happy.

3. Motivate to share and act for the benefit of others or nature or the society and become nice human being, it releases Serotonin (another hormone) that determines human happiness.

4. Hug each other, hold hands or put arms around other’s shoulders, Oxytocin (another happiness enhancing hormone) is released.

Taking time to understand purpose of life & expectations, thinking big, having long term vision, identifying & taking concrete steps to accomplish goal, Self belief, motivation, integrity, taking inspiration from insights in journey of life, respect for others and own well being must be on priority list to lead a happy life.

Opinion

Opinion

Always feeling self-sufficient and responsible for taking care of self can prove challenging in a situation in which we have to rely & depend on others. We make things worse either by trying to do more than we should or by feeling useless and run the risk of actually prolonging our dependency. Our ego holds us from accepting the situation fully as it is thus generating a feeling of vulnerability and unhappiness. It is advisable to surrender to our own helplessness, accept with humility own limitations & let go of our feeling that we should be able to do it all by ourselves. Endeavor must be to seek and accept help of others with a positive attitude and optimistic thinking that change is inevitable for the sake of own health, happiness and internal satisfaction. The experience of being helped generates a deep feeling of gratitude; acceptance of others for what they are; motivation to be much more compassionate and derive internal satisfaction by doing good to others without any expectations in return.

Testimonial

Dr Vandana Raghuvanshi,One of the best Energy Healer Chandigarh India

'Happiness is a journey, not a destination'

'Happiness is a journey, not a destination'. One’s individuality sets one apart from others based on values. The interpersonal conflicts are best avoided by moving beyond comparisons & accepting the differences. Blaming others, hanging on to resentments, holding someone or something responsible for own feelings erodes one’s peace of mind leaving little energy to devote to personal development.

Take a few moments to reflect on how another person makes you feel. Our well-being is generally influenced by those around us. Be honest with self about own feelings, have greater insight into the quality of social interactions & their energetic effect. Some of the people we deal with are a joy to be with & their loving presence nurtures & encourages us. Others may have the opposite effect, draining us of our energy thus sapping our strength and making us feel tired & exhausted.

In fact the kind of thoughts one harbors significantly affects relationships with others. One fuming with hatred or bitter with cynicism drives others away from himself/herself whereas one bursting with affection & bubbling with optimism draws others near to himself/herself. One’s disinterest lets the other person withdraw his/her own interest in you and even turn disdainful of you whereas exhibiting  keen interest flatters the other person as everybody enjoys being admired, regardless of whom the admirer is. The sympathetic frame of mind towards the other person instantly makes him/her feel that there is a common bond and helps in developing a healthy relationship.

Surround yourselves with positive people in order to clear away the negativity that exists around and envelope yourself in a supportive & healing space that fosters greater growth, understanding & love of yourselves in order to infuse your lives with greater happiness. We experience peace when we are in a state of mental calm and serenity. Consciously set aside your worries, as the clutter of your thoughts & concerns clear away, you will start to feel more calm & serene. Cultivate inner peace; you have the power to free yourself from anxiety simply by deciding to do so.

Laughter brings with it a host of positive effects that operate on both the physical & mental levels. Laughing involves the body, emotions & the soul. It is also fun, expressive, & a way to release minor physical & mental stresses. Learn to laugh in the present moment, it shall make life seem less serious and you’ll find that joy is always there.

Fusion of potential and kinetic energies - The meeting of Shiva and Shakti

Fusion of potential and kinetic energies - The meeting of Shiva and Shakti

Chakras are centres of energy located along the spine. The prana flows from the tailbone to the crown of head. Observe silence that goes beyond words and wordlessness. Trigger off the coiled energy lying dormant at Muladhara or the root chakra Clear the mind of the negative thoughts to enhance awareness, keep mind stable and visualise the light of wisdom opening the window of possibilities. Feel any of your feeling of love, affection, anger, hatred or fear to rediscover your heart and optimize self confidence, boost creativity and imagination. Leave perception of individual self, visualise the sun, moon, stars and planets as part of self to experience oneness with the Supreme Being.  Prana, the dynamic life force, shall restore balance between body, mind and spirit.
